Want to become an insurance agent in Ohio? You will need to meet some requirements first.

At minimum, an insurance license from your state is required.

Each state has slightly different licensing requirements but often, a course in insurance licensing and passing your state's licensing exam is necessary. A license for each type of insurance you want to sell is also common throughout the country. For example, if you plan to sell life insurance and health insurance, you’ll need a license for each.

The team at CPMI can help you earn your license(s). We offer an extensive selection of course offerings with resources that include:

  • Online programs and live online courses
  • Traditional class materials
  • Practice exams
  • MP3 audio files
  • Materials designed by industry experts
  • A money-back guarantee

The Ohio Department of Insurance has approved all CPMI pre-licensing education courses and our materials meet all pre-licensing education requirements for insurance producer pre-licensing. Agents, managers, and other professionals who normally handle agent licensing, talk to us! We can offer you volume discounts at a great value. Contact us today to learn more.

Ohio insurance licensing requirements are unique to the state. You will want to know the rules if you plan to obtain a licensure:

  • You must pass an approved pre-licensing education course (CPMI courses are among those accepted.)
  • You are required to take either an online, textbook, or classroom course.
  • Courses must provide 20 hours of instruction per line of authority.
  • You must earn a 70% or better to pass your course completion exam.

You will receive a course completion certificate once you pass to bring with you to the PSI testing facility.
