New Hampshire Insurance Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
New Hampshire requires 24 hours of insurance continuing education (CE) every two years. CPMI provides everything you need to meet New Hampshire’s licensing requirements, from CE courses to exams. We’ll be there every step of the way until your license is safely renewed.
- Required Credit Hours
- Exemptions
- License Renewal Requirements
New Hampshire has its own unique credit requirements, which are as follows:
- License holders must complete 24 hours of CE every two years.
- At least 3, but no more than 10, of the 24 total hours must be in ethics.
- Insurance producer CE can consist of any producer approved course and is not limited to the lines in which that producer is licensed (i.e. Life Insurance).
Adjusters have similar CE requirements:
- Adjusters are required to take 24 CE hours, and there must be a minimum of 3 hours of adjuster approved ethics credits.
- Adjusters with workers comp authority must take:
- A minimum of 10 hours workers comp credits.
- 3 hours of ethics.
- Adjusters must take courses approved for adjusters.
The following groups do not have to comply with New Hampshire’s CE requirements:
- Title insurance producers
- Limited lines agents
- First-time license renewals
- Nonresident agents
Time for your New Hampshire insurance license renewal? It's important to know the requirements:
- 24 hours of CE every 2 years.
- Ethics must take up 3 hours out of the total 24.
- Agents/producers may take any approved courses for credit.
- Adjusters must take courses approved for adjusters.
- Licensees are required to complete their CE 60 days before their license expiration date date. If they do not until the 60 day window (between CE due date and license expiration date), they will be subject to a late fee.
New Hampshire does not allow you to repeat courses for credit in the same renewal period, or apply excess credit hours towards the total hours of your next requirement period.
After you pass our course, we will send your completion information on to the New Hampshire Department of Insurance.
